A real person reads every message. To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us your iPhone's iOS version, what you tapped, and what happened instead. Never paste your chat into an email — we don't need it, and we don't want it.
01How do I export a chat?
Third Eye reads the export file your chat app makes for you. Most people start with WhatsApp. The app walks you through it on screen, and these are the same five steps:
- Open the chat you want read, inside WhatsApp.
- Tap the contact name at the top to open Contact Info.
- Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
- Choose Without Media. It's much faster, and Third Eye only reads text.
- Pick Third Eye in the share sheet.
Longer chats give a better read — a few weeks of back-and-forth is plenty.
Using LINE instead? Third Eye reads LINE exports too. Open the chat, tap the menu at the top right, scroll down to Settings, then tap Export chat history and pick Third Eye. If Third Eye isn't offered, tap More. Switch the source on the app's home screen before you import.
02The import didn't work
- Third Eye isn't in the share sheet. Scroll the app row sideways and tap More, then turn Third Eye on. This is an iOS setting, not an app setting.
- You chose "Attach Media". Media files are not messages, and a large media export is slow to hand over. Re-export with Without Media.
- Nothing happened after you shared. Open Third Eye first, then repeat the export — iOS sometimes drops the hand-off if the app has never been launched.
- The read looks thin or the message count looks wrong. Email us the count the app showed and your iOS version. Don't send the chat.
03What happens to my chat?
- Names are replaced on your phone first. Before anything is transmitted, participant names become neutral placeholders (P1, P2). The text sent for analysis carries no real names.
- The anonymized text is sent to an AI model to write your read. It travels through a relay we operate, which forwards it and keeps no copy. We store no chat content and no reads on our servers.
- Your reads stay on your phone. They are written to local storage on your device only.
- Message text is not scrubbed. Names are removed; if a message body itself names someone or gives away a detail, that detail is in the text the model reads.
The full detail, including every third party involved, is in the Privacy Policy.
04How do plans and credits work?
Third Eye Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, sold weekly, monthly or annually. It raises how many reads you get in each billing period and unlocks the deeper read qualities. The exact allowance for each plan is listed on the plan screen inside the app, which is always the current one.
Credits are one-time purchases that never renew. They exist so you can run one deeper read without changing your plan:
- Deep credits — sold singly or as a 3-pack. Each buys one Deep Dive.
- GOD credits — sold singly or as a 3-pack. Each buys one GOD Mode read.
- Question packs — 10 or 30 questions for the Ask the Eye tab.
A credit pays for a read. If a run fails outright and never returns a reading, that charge is handed back to you automatically — our server decides this from whether a reading was actually delivered, so you don't have to ask. If a run does return a reading but a shallower one than you asked for, the charge stands; tell us and we'll look at it. If you think a credit went missing in any other way, email us.
Buying a credit does not change your subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not take your credits away.
05I paid, but the app doesn't know
Open You → Restore purchases. That re-reads your App Store account and re-applies Third Eye Plus on this device. Use it after reinstalling, or on a new phone signed in to the same Apple Account.
Credits are different. Apple treats one-time credits as consumable, so Restore purchases does not bring them back — they belong to the install that bought them. If you reinstalled and lost a credit balance you never spent, email [email protected] with the App Store receipt Apple emailed you, and we'll sort it out by hand.
06How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancelling happens in your Apple Account, not in Third Eye. We cannot cancel one for you.
- Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Third Eye Plus, then Cancel Subscription.
Or go straight there: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. The same screen switches you between weekly, monthly and annual.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep what you paid for until the end of the period you already bought.
07Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases, including ours. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides the outcome; we are not able to issue or overrule a refund.
If something in the app broke and that's why you're asking, tell us too — we'd rather fix it.
08How do I delete my data?
- One read. Delete that run inside the app. Its results and the anonymized text behind it go with it.
- Everything. Delete the app. Your reads live on your device, so removing it removes them.
- Analytics. Turn off You → Share usage analytics at any time.
- The launch-notification email you may have typed on this website: email us and it is deleted.
We hold no copy of your chats or your reads, so there is nothing on our side for us to delete on your behalf. What we do hold is described in the Privacy Policy.
